Hello, as far I know, in my experience for NM/NP Pajero you don't need code for radio.

    Cheers

I did/do need a code for my NP.
Any time the battery is disconnected the radio needs to be reset.

I think I'd be re-checking the numbers you gave them for typos, and when you're certain of that info talk to another dealer
The 4 digit numerical code would/should apply to the vehicle by VIN.
Even if the radio has been replaced at some stage there should be a code registered against your vehicle as far as I'm aware.

Tried a dealer near me gave them the vin and came up as error , they wanted me to bring it in they would take radio out get serial number and contact mitsubishi australia plus cost $75.00 .
I rang mitsubishi australia gave them my vin car showed up but no radio code recorded then gave them the serial number of the radio still nothing , it is a 2000 model and i am pretty sure the batterie woul have been replaced at some time bit of a mistory

Well, there ya go, apparently no radio codes needed on the NM

                    Hi Zacc,
I pulled my radio out the other week and it did have a 4 digit code written on the top of the radio unit.
As said by others I have had a flat battery and no code required.

I have had to put a code in my 06 NP 3.2 before.... The other week I disconnected my battery for 30mins but I didn't have to put the radio code, I put it down to still getting power from the second battery. I maybe wrong but I know i didn't have to put a code in

My NM Exceed definitely requires the code after battery disconnection. Perhaps the GLX, GLS models have different radios because they didn't come out with the 6 stack CD player { I don't know if they did or didn't} ???

On another note, my sons BA falcon asks for a code after the battery is disconnected BUT its just a con job - no code actually needed, confirmed by Ford.

My GLS NM doesn't need a code, although you do have to reset the stations after the battery is disconnected. Mine didn't come with the 6-stack CD player.
