Good evening,
I have an MH triton with the 3.0 V6. Recently it refused to start.
I have check spark, fuel and timing marks all of which are good.
Out of frustration I grounded the brown plug for the ignition timing and played with the distributor. This got it started and running, however will not rev and seems to just choke itself out no matter where the distributor was located. I will sort out a timing light during the week to set it properly, but is there anything else I should check and is there any reason how the ignition is suddenly out of whack?
Although I got it started is is idling at over 1000rpm where it used to be around 700. Would this be a result of incorrect timing and should it fix itself up when timed properly?
If there is something else I should be looking at please let me know.
Cheers.
