    Mucking about in Marble Bar

So Steve can keep a track of me here is a teaser of another epic:

9 days and 4000K's up to Marble Bar and return.

sunset in a cloud of billowing 100km/h dust on way to Big Bell:

2nd night, a lucky find whilst searching for some ruins on the Murchison - Bilyinya:

And onto Peak Hill in the morning:

    Wildflowers galore:

With a lonely Sturt's Desert pea in the middle of a lonely station track:

    Onto Newman.

    Wildlife:

    And Ore Trains:

WWII airbases with their deadly fauna:

And onto the Marble in the Bar:

    With more Reptillian inhabitants:

Following little used station tracks in search of Mecca:

And finding yet another picture postcard location for the swag:

        Gorging ourselves in the Morning:

With the associated billowing stuff following behind:

Only to bid the bar farewell:

But rough country has its issues:

And dictates you have to slum it in terrible places:

Only to be overwhelmed with emotion when you finally get the dunny tent back in the bag:

That four letter word hovering over us, its Southward we go:

And I aint touching this one:

            Traversing picturesque river systems:

            To wash of the dust:

            With more Reptillian's:

            Before finally entering Wildflower country:

            And Rocky outcrops:

Meaning it has just become another memory.

            Hopefully that wets your appetite!

Was that large body of water at Carawine Gorge by chance ?

After rains at the end of May, water was at bonnet height on the crossing of the Oakover on the dirt track back to Nullagine - but no trouble as it's a good solid base. Gets the heart racing, especially when you're by yourself.

I've spent a bit of time around that area working and have thought for a while it would be nice to do some "exploring".

I'd like to say I'm not jealous...... but that would be the biggest lie I've ever told (and my mum told me you should never lie ).

Another good trip from the looks of it.

The body of water where I had to slum it? yep, that was Carawine. The waterholes were hit and miss. Some were loaded, the rest were bone dry. Skull Springs Rd, even dry it was a challenge.
