I have had other posts on here about fuel consumption of my NP 3.2 being a bit over the top (16L/100).
After replacing the head on the engine, new injectors etc, cooling system all replaced and tested, engine feels to be running great, but still using heaps of fuel. There doesn't seem to be any signs of anything bad going on. Not blowing smoke, engine runs smooth and clean, doesnt use oil between changes, serviced regularly etc.
I took the car last week to AG Diesel in Clayton (The only, or one of the only places in Melbourne that service the VRZ pumps), and had them put the car on the dyno to try to diagnose any issues. They agreed afterwards that the car runs well, and couldnt really explain the high fuel usage given the lack of smoke etc, but they did comment that the engine was a bit down on power (partly but not entirely due to blocked MAP sensor line), and that there seems to be issues with the injector pump. Given that its done almost 300000km, they recommend that the pump would be due for overhaul.
Does anybody else have a Dyno graph for their Diesel NP for comparison?
