Thanks Vlad and others, my new lamps arrived from Vlad's suggested suppliers over the past few days and they are now installed. Did not bother with the glovebox (did not even know there was a lamp in there)or vanities though. Recommendations and instructions were appreciated and as the non navigator thinks they are better all is good!

Thanks, just installed the top festoon leds. For others following this. The front 2 lamps pry off covers from the pivot end.. bottom or top makes no difference. the middle 2 top lamps - you will note they pivot from 25mm from one end... long thing screw driver at the pivot point - gently push to dislodge lens at the pivot point === looking closely at the outside you can see the pivot points... the lens has is a full loop that needs minor movement to the center to be unhooked.
the rear is 4 lugs on the corners of the top bottom... again visible - so small jewellers screwdriver lever 2 on the same side...
I note 1/3 of the current drawn on these new LEDS - .1 amp each...

Cheers. Yep. Another thing to help the puny batteries in the NX. My old KW Verada GTVi had 600CCA batteries compared to the 580 in the NX Paj.

Just fitted leds to the doors..... nice improvement with a good clear white light instead of the dull orange/yellow oem lights. I just changed the ceiling lights to LED im going to do the door ones once I've got a day off. I got the bulbs from Auto One they cost $10.80 each they are the code SJ1613B ( B for blue lol. if want wite or red change the last B to a W or R) I will find out what the other ones are as Im getting them this week. you just pry open with a screw driver with a cloth around them, the full instructions are in the manual towards the back ( I cant remember exact pages) if you lift near the pivot points its a lot easier than the trying from the part you press to activate the light.
Hope this helpsNo longer own a Pajero

I bought 10 LED festoon bulbs as Vlad recommended, and fitted them to both my wife's Outlander and my Pajero. Big difference. So much so that I have bought another 10 to finish doing all the interior lights, and I'll have one left over after that. Thanks Vlad for posting the details. I could have got some cheaper from overseas, but chose the ones from Sydney (yes - I know - the parts come from O/S anyway, but at least some guy in Oz is getting some of the action). At $9.98 delivered for 10 lamps, it isn't much money anyway.

Cheers erad.
Kirkster, they are bright but are only SMD 5050 LEDs hence cheaper but require more than double the amount for the same light output. SMD5050 are only 0.2W/17 lumens each as opposed to 0.5W/50 lumens for the SMD 5630 and SMD 5730 LEDs.
