Default Stereo head unit swap, help

Gday guys. I'm after a bit of help for a mate. He has a 2011 Triton GLX-R auto and just wants to change the stereo head unit over with one he has at home. Just want to find out if anyone knows how to pull the original (I think it's the original one) CD/tuner out. Attached is a pic of it. Look forward to your words of wisdom.

The two holes on either side of the head unit require a tool (BENT COAT HANGER WIRE) to be insterted or https://www.google.com.au/search?q=s...w=1024&bih=768

The until will then slide out, note may need a bit of force to remove ghe head unit as they can be a tight fit.

Will also need head unit to iso harnes and triton to iso harness.

Or be prepared to cut and solder.

The ISO is basically a plug to match the car/head unit with a neutral plug on the other end. So you can buy the head unit specific plug and also vechile specific plug and they mate up together. This way you can have all the combinations of different head units and cars without making a deadicated plug for each individual application.
Normally the new head units come with the plug that fits the unit with bare wires on the end. You can swap this as mentioned above. Or get a wiring diagram and cut and join or the way I do it is buy the car specific ISO plug and cut the neutral plug off, that way all the wire colours off the plug that came with the head unit match up and you just solider or crimp them together.

The ISO plugs are about $20 each so the way I do it you only need one not two. Also some cars don't have the room behind the unit for all the extra wiring of the two ISO plugs
