ECL, Stability Control and Traction Control lights

My car seems to have developed a gremlin and was wondering if anyone has experienced this before....

Three times in the past week when i have started my car, whether it be cold or already warm, the ecl, stability control and traction control lights remain on and the motor runs really rough.....lots of white smoke and limps along with no power.

No error codes are showing when i checked.....

I recently changed the fuel filter and bled it, and also cleaned the throttle body so unsure if these are related to the problem.

    Any suggestions most welcome

    Cheers

    Throttle body is the problem.

Did you disconnect any of the vacuum hoses from the throttle body?

Are you certain that you put them back in the correct order?

Thanks for the reply....yes only have one top vacuum hose and one bottom hose and they are not long enough to get mixed up

My next guess is that the throttle is sometimes sticking closed.

Try spraying inox or something like that into the throttle and see if that helps

Ohhh thanks for that ..... i will try. I was a bit worried about cleaning out the throttle body cause i thought maybe the diaphragm in the vaccum bodies might be damaged....maybe that is the case.

Well, after chasing my tail around for months i disconnected the battery overnight and reconnected it about a week ago and so far my problem seems to have disappeared

Further to my last, have always had problems with my gauges returning to zero briefly after I start the car up. Purchased a new battery from here:

Find Other Parts & Accessories ads in Redcliffe 4020, QLD. Buy and sell almost anything on Gumtree classifieds.

And that problem has finally been resolved also
