Default Weld on drawbar to front of trailer

Isn't this a no no ?

The weld across the top edge of draw bar to the front lower edge of trailer tub.

I,ve seen where it is said to be a no-no. My camper is not welded like that....

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavouring, and dish washing liquid made with real lemons?

It is frowned upon structurally but in real life on sealed roads it probably will have zero issues. Offroad on dirt and corrugations I reckon it would start to fatigue and fail at that point over time.

It's generally considered bad practice but, according to the engeneers at the crane manufacturer/repairer if certain engineering requirements are followed.

In nsw it was a requirement on home made trailers.

I used silicon weld to keep the guy doing the roadworthy happy.

I am a retired Boilermaker Welder, and I would NEVER lay down that weld.

I do however believe it should be sealed to keep the moisture out, so seal it with silicon. These days there are many colours available if your that keen.
