Not long back from a month trip to Cape York and back. Travelled Bloomfield to Cooktown, then Battlecamp through Lakefield NP. Onto Weipa, then OTT towing the camper the whole way. Then the tip, Jardine mouth, Oyala NP, Atherton Tablelands and home. Wife and two teenagerish girls. Had a ball. Challenger was first class all the way and really surprised some where we went towing the camper and others didnt/couldnt go. We were the only one to drive Palm Ck (according to the peanut gallery who had been there all day) with a camper and not needing a winch. Most not towing had to winched out. Light weight, twin lockers, lowered tyre pressure and the right line helped. OTT was completed unassisted (winch or snatch) and the only area that I needed to dig/winch myself out was in the crazy soft sand near the Jardine mouth towing the camper. Meet some great people along the way. All up 6200km at 14L/100km.
