          Engine Mounts

Evening. Is the engine mount issue easily to pick up with a visual inspection? Just started noticing a vibration on the steering wheel at idle. NT with 100K on the clock.

          Cheers

            Hi All,

We have an NT and we had the same problem. The car has running extremely rough when we pulled up at a set of lights when idleing at the lights. Horrible feeling..... However after taking the car back to the dealer a couple of times they diagnosed broken engine mounts. So I checked the 10 year warranty on the power train which included fixing engine mounts.(what a relief)So now the car feels like new.

I haven't changed my engine mounts over but have used febest australia for suspension components, sway bar links and the like, on various pajeros I've had over the years. They seem to be a good product at a good price and have never had any failures to date.

Febest do engine mounts and have them listed on ebay. They are normally a pretty fast delivery, 3 to 5 days down to Tassie from memory.

Yikes, mine still says I am outstanding to have the passenger side airbag replaced, even though I had it done on Monday. I'll check back in in a week or so to make sure it's gone..

I'm also interested in how much it costs to get the engine mounts replaced if not under warranty.

Someone said it was covered under 10 year powertran warranty. I believe that warranty is only valid for the original owner?
