2008 25th anniversary Pajero MMCS

First thread on this site.

bought the car 12 months ago had the original 2007 V1 Map DVD in it.

got a 2018 update from

took the original one out and placed the update in and I get an onscreen message
DISC IS NOT MAP DVD.

was told I had to update firmware.

after some advice I thought you just put disc in and that was it.
Am I doing anything wrong.

Seems like the place who did this, doesn’t really know tbh
I have a 2013 update disc from a similar site in my 2008 and works fine - I just loaded in after the original one is all working fine etc (not on immediate loadup sequence)but there is the issue that if the battery is disconnected you have to get the original one and then load in the update one after !

Keep on at them and say you want your money back ! Because how can you update the firmware ? Isn’t that the whole idea of an updated disc
