My old man had a battery fail in his outlander last week, off to his usual service centre (not tbe dealer) and had the battery replaced after i gave him a jump start.( i didnt hang round whilst they replaced the battery).
Any way he goes to use the gps(mmcs v2) few days later and the infamous insert map disc message, even tbough the original was still in the dvd drive, I wasnt around so he headed to the dealer.
Said he was there for about an hour while they fluffed about, but nope you will need a new gps unit and its out of warranty, lets nust say not happy jan.
Any way, was at his place today and i said i would have a quick look, and you bet ya hit tilt and tap top right of screen, disc ejects , gave it a clean and all working fine.
In his words the dealer didnt know how to eject a stuck dvd!
