My 07/2012 NW is classed as MC. I'd be having a chat with Mitsubishi directly if I was you guys with MA classification.
2012 NW Activ with all the fruit, stripped what I could for my new build and handed over to the Mrs as a daily driver.

That's interesting.....Is that the same sticker that records the build date as "hand scribed numbers."

If so does anyone know where else one might find a credible build date?

Unsure what you mean by "hand scribed numbers"?
In recent years, the cars have 2 machine printed stickers affixed:
                    - Build Plate, affixed in the factory, I think? (in the left hand front door jamb, on the NX)
                    - Compliance Plate, affixed on the wharf in Australia (in the right hand front door jamb)
There is also a manufacturer's plate in the engine bay, right side on the firewall.

                          Hmmm...........Appears I shouldn't rely on my memory.

The sticker I was thinking of in the RH door actually has printed numbers for month and year but doesn't say what date it is, although definitely appears to be a compliance date. (Class is MC)

My plate on the RH firewall doesn't appear to have any dates.

Will look in LH door when I get a chance, G'kids will be here shortly with their new toys.

                          Merry Christmas to all.

Could anyone that has an MA plated Pajero please PM me a photo of the classification plate without the VIN being redacted. I will take this up with Mitsubishi and post an explanation.
