The 12 month limited warranty on new cars

I was perusing the Mitsubishi site the other day and was reading the items on the 12 mth or 20,000km limited warranty.
Some of the items are a bit concerning that they only warranty them for a year.

    • Any component subject to regular servicing - This is a concern as to what does it refer to
    • Glow plugs
    • Fuel injectors
    • Shock absorbers
    • Brake pads or linings
    • Cooling and fuel lines or hoses - I would expect these to last way past 20 thousand k's
    • Rubber or plastic components - supposedly any plastic or rubber part. Like door trim etc.
    • Keyless entry transmitter or transmitter battery
    • Wiper blades/inserts
    • Clutch pressure plate and clutch disc
    • Floor or luggage compartment mats/carpets
    • Seat covers
    • Globes (including HID)

Its a bit disappointing MM does not think much of their vehicles reliability anymore.
Does this concern people looking to buy new?. Are the other brands as bad?
