Hi all, a friend has 95 NJ 3.5Ltr Pajero & has a noisy lifter,I was listening to it today. After asking a few ?'s he had mentioned it started straight after his last oil change, he said the service people used Valoline oil the first time for this motor! The rattle gets noisy & slowly goes quiet & goes away for about 10 seconds or so.
Can anyone recommend a good oil to help this starving lifter??
Also on the old forum I think i read about a similar problem & they wrote about a procedure of slowly raising the rev's of the engine for a certain lenght of time to help prime the lifter again.
I believe this is a good start to fix this problem, I would be greatful for any suggestions.
