    changing form 18s to 17

    Has anyone change from there 18 inch rim back to 17s if so have you noticed any changte in ride on and off road?

    Lots of people have done this successfully.

    I don't know personally, but if you are keeping the same type of tyre, the ride should get a little softer (more sidewall & more air to cushion you). If you are changing from H/T to A/T or M/T tyres, the tyre will change the ride more than the change in profile will.

      well i got the H/Ts that come with it on
      looking at going to cooper ATR will that make it a softer ride?

        Difference will be negligible.

          If you are changing from 18s to 17s, then it will depend if you get the LTs or not. If you get the ATRs with the LT construction, it may get a bit harder as the sidewalls are much stiffer. If you get the non-LTs then ride may get a bit softer for reasons stated above.
