Wasn't sure where to post this so here goes.
Some old friends of mine posted some photos on facebook of their 4wds from an incident in the Lancelin/Ledge point region north of Perth last week. I waited till I was able to confirm some details before posting.
There is someone living in the area who has been ramming 4wds whilst off road. There were multiple 4wds damaged in the incident and they went straight to the police station afterwards. Apparently this is a known issue and a known person to be doing it but is tied up with some unsociable people and the Police basically advised them not to pursue it.
The tracks were definitely public land, they weren't trespassing. They have all come away very shaky, there were girlfriends, fiancées etc. in the cars at the time. I am not posting this to start a discussion or debate about the police force's actions nor for advice on how to take action against the person responsible, this is merely getting the word out to maybe prevent someone at least getting their car damaged or worse, getting injured themselves.
Stay safe on the tracks people.
