    Locking diff for Pajero 4

Hi all! I need your advice on locking diffs, hope you guys can help!

I've got Pajero Wagon 4 2007, it doesn't have ASTC system + it doesn't have R/D lock from factory. My plans are to install locking diff, but I can't choose right product due to weak information on the internet (can't find real owner reviews for Pajero 4).

I'm not from Australia, but almost all options for my Pajero are made in your country. Here what I can buy:
    • ARB RD155
    • TJM 168PL17

Can somebody share his experience, pros and cons of using ARB/TJM on Pajero 3/4? What limitations do they have?
    Thanks for your answers

Haven't owned a pro locker but have had 2 Arb lockers in the past which both gave me problems with the air system. Now have front & rear elockers on the nl. No noisy compressor , silent to use , no risk of associated problems due to needing 100 psi to activate them.
Just a simpler , fuss free system , imo.

E-Locker, even Mitsubishi have started fitting E Lockers instead of the low pressure air units they used to use. The MQ Triton and the Pajero Sport have factory E Lockers.

Yes, from what I have been told and seen in the Pajero Sport Service Manual.

well thats a step forward, although the OEM air lockers only needed a couple of psi to work but the locking mechanism was very prone to damage & was a weak link. I busted several teeth off my first Mitsu locker that was sourced from an NJ Exceed.

                    Good to hear anyway.

I like the idea behind e-locker, but, unfortunately, I can't get one for reasonable price in my country (no distributors or importers)

Also read several times that ARB has air/oil leakage problems. It looks like TJM has better design..

Elocker would be my choice. Although my paj has a factory locker I had a Harrop locker installed on my last 4wd. After a fair bit of research I settled on the elocker, my way of thinking was less could go wrong with them. Eg no compressor/lines etc that could fail.

You can order an E-Locker direct from the Australian manufacturer and they will ship internationally.
