Roof Rack seperation.

Am I going mad, or are the connection points for roof racks very close together on the sport roof rails.
I fitted mitsi roof racks recently and they seem very close together?
Not great for securing long lodfs like my 10 foot mal on the freeway.
Are they adjustable for width?
They don,t seem to be?

Yeah they are pretty close together. I think it's only the MM branded thule racks that actually use those holes though... i have non MM branded thule racks and they just clamp over the rail at any point. I definitely put them a bit further apart than where the guide holes are. If you can take them back and get them from a thule dealer instead that should help?

Or you could drill additional holes, search on here for another thread about how to do that...

I ground the lug off front rack and moved forward carry my surfboards all the time has been that way for 2 years now
