2004 PA 3.0 V6
Really weird rear window demister problem.
Symptoms - demister doesn't work at all.
-12V at the LHS terminal - indicating supply wiring and fuse all ok.
-Continuity with ground at RHS terminal - indicating system is earthed ok.
12v only last a few mm along *any* track moving from LHS to RHS. Cant see any break in a track anywhere. No continuity between 10mm segments of *any* track *anywhere*.
So what the heck is going on? There doesn't seem to be any voltage getting more than a few mm 'away' from the positive terminal - yet none of the track appear damaged. Even if one or two tracks are damaged - I cant think I've mysteriously damaged 9 tracks at once without even touching them!
Cant help thinking I'm missing something really obvious here. Surely if you use a DMM with the probes 10mm apart on a good track you should get continuity? I don't - is that normal?
Any other ideas - this is doing my head in......
