Insist the Service Manger raises a DQR to MMAL, this is the correct way your service department should be reporting defects that are ongoing or cannot be diagnosed and rectified. Also get a copy of the DQR if you can or at least the reference number. This is essential if you want to take it further. Your car is still under warranty so I see it is your right to have access to this information.

    cheers, OJ.

I think it means "Defect Quality Report", I have never asked!
It is the form that Dealers use when they lodge an issue with MMAL.

        cheers, OJ.

Close. It's "Dealer Quality Report". Some dealers are slow to send these. They think it puts their workshop in a bad light.

Don't know where they get that from.....

So the dealership wouldn't do it. They also tried to not give me warranty on the leaks at one point because my timing belt wasn't replaced by Mitsubishi and claimed it wasn't done properly... Uh huh.

Anyway I am sick of arguments with Mitsubishi dealerships so I'll just collect all my reports and send into MMA myself requesting a review.

Challenger is at an independent mechanic today getting a full front end check on all components and a report made to take to Mitsubishi as well so hopefully I get results out of this.

I hope you get some positive news on this. I did my own timming belts and the job does not contact or disturb any oil seals. I guess the only argument could be in over tightening the crankshaft pulley nut which could/maybe (doubt it) cause the front of crank to bend ever so slightly, which would wear out seals. But it sounds like your seals began leaking prior to belt change ? so maybe overtightened from the factory.
