Could try measuring on the contacts in the white connector for any voltage when you have the light bar on.

Update:
I think I may have solved the issue. The century N70 battery I bought back in August 2016 had finally died. Got a replacement under warranty. I reckon the old one had a fault which led to the electrical issues with the light bar. This last few weeks, I had to let the glow plug glow twice before attempting to start and then it was still cranking 4 times. Have switched the light bar in a few times with the new battery and the astc lights have not come on. With the new one, it starts after 2 cranks after the glow plug light goes out in the morning. During the day, it starts after one crank immediately. Fingers crossed with the new one.

Nice one Vlad.
Thanks for taking the time to post up the result.
Nothing shits me more after pages of people trying to help and the OP doesn't let us know how they sorted it out
Did you have to fight for the warranty or was it an easy job ?
cheers Brett

With the new battery, the cranking speed is a lot faster, like 4Hz instead of 1Hz. The old one was like 2Hz at best when new.
