    NS NT auto transmission

I have a 2007 NS DiD Pajero which looks like it has a broken auto transmission. There are a few NT auto transmissions at various wreckers at the moment. My question is will a NT auto transmission fit an NS?

They are different transmissions from different manufacturers, so I don't think it will be straightforward. I would start by checking wiring diagrams for the two vehicles.

Out of curiosity, what are the wreckers asking for the NT auto?
NT Platinum. DiD Auto with 265/70R17 ST Maxx, Lift, Lockers, Lockup Mate, Low range reduction, LRA Aux tank, bull bar, winch, lots of touring stuff. Flappy paddles. MMCS is gone!

Project: NJ SWB. 285/75R16 ST Maxx, 2" OME suspension, 2" body lift, ARB 110, 120l tank, bullbar, scratches, no major dents. Fully engineered in SA. NW DiD & auto in place - a long way to go....

There is a NT auto transmission from a 2011 model with only 53,000kms. If I knew it would fit, I would try and grab it. They want $1800, which I don't think is too bad?

        Wiring would be a nightmare.

...thanks Goodsy - sounds like it is best to stick to an NS, then (hopefully!!) it would be a straight swop?

Why do you think the original auto is broken? Might it be the transfer case?

NT petrol autos should be the same as NS autos, it was NT diesels that got the new auto.

Edit: Just saw your other thread, disregard question about transfer case.
