Differences between Platinum and VR-X NW?

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone would be able to tell me or point me in the direction of what the differences are between the VR-X and the Platinum II NW? I can't really find anything anywhere... Unless I'm not looking in the right places?? Looking at upgrading to an NW in the future (Maybe pretty soon) and not sure what the differences are between these two?

Anyways, if anyone can point me in the right direction that'd be real helpful! Cheers!

Might not be much info out there. Looks like a limited edition.

If you are interested in particular models, try looking at a heap of pajeros of your preferred model on carsguide. You will get an idea of what goodies are on which which trim levels.
2016 NX GLS Factory alloy bar, Provent 200 catch can, Boos bash plates (full set), Stedi light bar, 40 litre Waeco, Titan fridge slide, Kings springs, Toyo Open Country AT3s, Auto-mate, Ultragauge, Uniden 8080s, Tanami x11, more to come...

The first link is Pajero brochure for October 2011, second link September 2013, third is Mitsubishi news feed and last a post from this forum regarding the Platinum 2. The brochure from October 2011 is the relevant one to compare specs between Platinum 2 and VRX. The Platinum 2 was basically a GLX with some added goodies released as MY12.

The Platinums were usually GLX models with various extras added for a limited production run.
The VRX was a ongoing model and had a higher equipment level.

If you search the individual models on Redbook, you will find a list of features for each.

I have Platinum(2014, NZ) one. It is a GLX plus upsized wheels that are used in Exceed trim and Chrome on front grill, and nothing else.

                    Platinum (2011):
                    17" wheels
                    leather steering wheel
                    Rockford Fosgate stereo
                    Chrome indicators and repeaters
                    rear air con
                    cloth seats
                    (diff lock is option only)
                    reverse camera

VR-X: (same year as far as I can tell from when I was looking)
leather/partial leather seats (electric and with heated seats)
                    leather steering wheel
Diff lock (i think standard on diesel)
                    No rockford fosgate stereo
                    rear air con
                    18" wheels I think
                    reverse camera and sensors
                    2012 NW with some fruit

                      Yes 18" "exceed" wheels.
Also on 2013 my14 standard reverse camera and 7" mccs2 screen
                      Reverse sensors
                      Heated seats
                      Auto dimming rear view mirror
                      Auto wipers
Demisters in wing mirrors with blinkers and puddle lamps
                      Auto headlamps
When i bought mine diff lock was standard accross the range as was the reverse camera either in dash or as part of the rear view mirror (glx and glx-r)
When i bought mine diesel was the only option and manuals were only available on special order in gx guise. E.g on site fleets for mining rail etc.

Looks like the earlier Platinums were better spec-ed. My 2010 NT Platinum has:

                        Leather wrapped steering wheel,
Auto dimming inner rear view mirrors,
                        Rear AC,
Chrome garnish on the door trims,
                        Diff lock,
                        MMCS with sat nav,
                        Rockford Fosgate speakers,
                        Reverse camera + sensors,
                        Auto headlamps,
                        Rain sensing wipers.

Except the heated seats, 18 inch wheels and DVD system, it was as good as the Exceed

My 2010 NT Platinum doesn't have Auto dimming rear view mirrors, auto headlights, rear AC or rain sensing wipers. When I bought it the previous owner had installed Air Lockers front & rear, so I'm guessing it didn't have the rear locker ex factory. It did have MMCS (doesn't any longer), no idea about the speakers - other than it has some. I've checked for the wiring for the auto headlights, and it's not even there.

From my reading of the forum over the years I concluded the 2010 Platinum was barely better than a GLX, but the 2012 version was much better equipped.

Now I've gone down the rabbit hole and thinking about upgrading to a 76 Series Workmate instead of a newer Pajero.... I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing lol.

That is so weird! Mine surely is the 2010 NT Platinum, so am surprised to see yours didn't come with all these features! Infact, I am super pleased that except the heated seats, there is pretty much nothing else from the Exceed that I would have liked, that is missing on my car.

I do remember the Active version had a smaller subset of what was on the Platinum, but then again surely yours is not that variant?
