Intake Manifold Clean Advice

OK I am part way through removing the Manifold and want info from those who have done it themselves.
To get the manifold out does .
1. The Top section have to be disconnected from the bottom ?
2 The injector pipes need to be disconnected from the common rail?
3. The common rail come out with the bottom section (is it held on by the same bolts)?
4 The fuel filter need to come off to make room

Answer
1. Yes I disconnected it near the fire wall
2. Not necessarily and it can save you some time
3. No there is two bolts underneath bolting to the engine need to feel for them
4. More room the better

Thanks Stoneman, I will keep soldering on. The Oil dip tubes are a pain, not sure if I can pull them out.
What did you use to dissolve the Gunk?

5 litres of diggers concentrated degreaser from Bunnings and a pressure washer

It makes a mess!!

Don't forget you can't seperate the bottom manifold so a few cheap bottle brushes will help
