Couple years later I have begun working on making it much more functional as a 4x4

Doing a river crossing a MQ Patrol on 35s failed with ease

Finally this image was when the free wheel hubs stopped working, had no brakes and was sliding down a slippery steep hill on mountains, so I chose to stop using a tree.

        Hello all

        Cheers all

        Car. 85 2.6 petrol SWB 5 spd
History. Picked Jas up this April in the UK from original owner with 64000 km on the clock. Now living on Anchorage Alaska. All stock except for brush guard and possibly wheels/tires. Was purchased by original owner in Saudi Arabia, then import to the UK in 89.

Pros. No rust, low miles, all original.

Cons. Parts.....though it's lhd, the us models had electronic dizzys and she's points. Gotta go fin a 78 dodge colt for that. And being remotely located in Alaska, parts are even harder to source.

Already have a few tech questions. if someone knows where there are already threads on these topics please let me know so I can research properly prior to posting.....

Coolant temp gauge doesn't work.....both sensors new
        And
She jerks and pitches @ 1600-2000 rpms in all gears maitaining constant speed never when cold but not always when warm. Coil thru plugs is all new and timing is set @ 7° advance.

Sorry had upload errors with pics. Will as ASAP.

            88 Dodge Raider SWB

My name is Daniel, I live in Wichita,KS, USA. Thank you for allowing me to join the club! This truck does not have a big following the USA as it does in other parts of the world. So I look for inspiration and comraderie in other countries. My truck is a 1988 Doge Raider. It’s a rebadged Mitsubishi Montero/Pajero. It was the first truck I ever bought and have owned it since 1991. My picture is from the day I brought her home.

            1988 Dodge Raider

            5 speed manual transmission
            255,000miles (I think convers to 410,000 KM)
            Upgraded cylinder head

              Hello from Florida!

Here is my 1989 SWB V6 Montero

Pretty much bone stock with 104k miles on it. I cranked the torsion bars up and put 34x10.50 super swampers on it.

Right now, I only use for off road, but may put a tag on it so I can run around town with it.

Future plans: I need to either put some lockers in it or simply weld up the diffs. I have a few gauges that are not working and could use new valve cover gaskets as it smokes a bit from seeping.
