I'm leaning more towards the 10w-60 fully synthetic oil now as my Paj has over 180k under it's belt. I bought Gulf Oil for $50 and it's running heaps quieter than before, which was the Castrol edge. I think maybe because of the clearances are getting that little bit more lax. Any thoughts?

I tried castol edge in our subaru with 85,000km on the clock and it ran a lot rougher and noisier - dropped it out after only 300km as it sounded like there was very little lubrication occuring

As someone else said - Castrol's "oils ain't oils" - castrol ain't an oil to use in most engines.

i was turned off with Castrol oil when i used it in my older NH, lifters became noisier. then i was told to try Penrite oil which i did and the engine really quitened down , now with my newer NM i will only use Penrite full synthetic. this oil is so good with my engine that when i leave the car for say 5 days and then start up , there is not a tick tack anywhere to be heard.
