I have an off road camper and I am planning to do a trip up the kimberlys in Sept. I have been advised that if I plan to travel on dirt roads to have a stone guard fitted to the trailer. The only probelm is my draw bar is not that long and I am limited for space. I have noticed a few 4x4's with a single large mud flap on the rear of the vehicle and I was wandering if that would be a better option?

Try covering the rear window as well
The mudflap will assist. Another, and additional consideration, would be to cover your rear window with a sheet of clear polycarbon or even heavy cardboard so that anything that bounces back off the trailer doesn't go through the rear window. Tape it in place with duct tape and carry some spare.NT Platinum DiD, 2" lift, Koni 88 + 90s, King Springs, X-Ray driving lights, ARB Bullbar & Snorkel, GME 4300, AT3 Coopers, GPS, Pioneer Onyx camper
