Just been reading the PRADO V PAJERO thread on www.Pradopoint.com , and Gee !! ! most of those blokes really hate Pajeros .I know they are obviously biased owning Prados and that is understandable I suppose .But I reckon it is a credit to every one that contributes to this site (Pajero forum), that you rarely find members bagging other vehicles /manufacturers. I for one actually like Prados but for me purchasing a new NS DID was simply personal choice .My previos NJ Paj was a very reliable vehicle and is still going strong and still on the original engine (440000km) ,no rust and all in all still in quite reasonable condition.

You got to look at it this way, if it wasn't for the Pajeros success there would be no Prado. The NH and NJ models enjoyed a lot of sales and Toyota only had the Cruiser at the time. So they cloned the Pajero and put two tanks in it!
My NJ Pajero I had a few years ago was originally purchased new by Toyota and I did try to find out why they had purchased it but no one was telling. That was a 1994 model and the Prado was introduced in 1995......hmmm!

I personally prefer the Prado over the Pajero - for me it came down to affordability.
Both vehicles (like any vehicle) have pros and cons and I think they are both very good competitors of their class.
Its unfortunate that the late model Prado have retained such great articulation in the solid rear axle, and a ladder frame chassis, which I think put it a slight nose infront in the offroad department. On road, from what I have read, the Pajero kicks ass!

The bagging of Pajeros by Prado owners is rife
Keep it up boys and you will get into strife
I spose they need to justify the extra cost
But man these Toyota drivers are really lost
We on this forum don't share the same veiw
Because nothing beats a Pajero thats new
So we know the Prado boys talk a lot of shit
Get another diff and get over it
Just one more verse to finish off
Oooh i'm a Prado owner .... so I am a toff.

Thanks Dave , had a quick browse through. There were a few blokes there that would not change their mind no matter what , but to my suprise , there were quite a few positive comments about the Pajero as well. To cut a long story short , a mate bought a 2006 Prado in Jan this year and gave me heaps as I told him we were getting an NS - We got ours in June , he drove it and went very quiet - he has not mentioned it since.2007 NS VRX PAJERO Di-D , AUTO , FAMILY PACK , HD TOW PACK
