Default Upgrade the stereo surround on a 2010 PB with a 2013/2014 unit

Hey everyone

I am looking to upgrade my dashboard from this:

to this:

Does anyone happen to know if this is possible or has anyone done this?
In particular I am interested if the trip computer is compatible.

From my understanding it's the exact same trip computer just a different facia, not sure if the existing cables reach though.

You can buy the facia on ebay.

A couple of weeks ago I pulled my 2015 apart to install a new kenwood stereo.

If youíre going to replicate a 2014/15 setup, youíll need the correct mounting brackets and associated miscellanea to attach the head unit.

The trip computer fastens to the top of the head unit mounting brackets with a couple of screws.

Iíd suggest getting all the parts you need from a wreckers.

I'm thinking of just going with something like this instead of trying to get all the parts from a wrecker.

I had mine upgraded a year or so ago and dropped the trip computer completely, itís only use to me was the outside temperature, I donít miss the useless fuel economy either. I have a pocket where the stereo was which is useful for the wallet or small phone.

That was another option. I was thinking about getting a scangauge to replace the trip computer and mount it above the console.

That is a good idea, I still need to get one of those. I got an ultra gauge but itís not as good as I thought it would be.
