    AdBlue/DEF etc

I have never owned a diesel vehicle.
Was talking to a friend about the probability that my next car, to replace my PA Challenger, would probably be either a PC Challenger or a 2 or 3 year old Pajero Sport.
We discussed the plus/minus aspects of a diesel compared to petrol.
He mentioned that either or both of those two may need the compulsory diesel additive.

Have done a search and can't find much about it.

Is it required in either the PC or the PS?

    Thanks

The PC does not use adblue.
It is also NOT a diesel additive. At no point is it mixed or added to diesel.
It is injected into the exhaust.

        There is no extra tank!
Pajero, Challenger or Pajero sport don't use AdBlue

I understand that cars that need it have an extra tank, just asking about whether
the pc or ps have it

Neither Challenger or Pajero Sport use AdBlue (Selective Catalytic Reduction - SCR) technology.

Hi Ken, The Euro 5/6 emission standards require manufacturers to reduce diesel exhaust emissions so European cars are definitely leading the way. Some more reading in this article https://practicalmotoring.com.au/4x4...reduction-scr/

                Cheers,
