Emailed SPV with no responce, so looked at Munji. A better looking unit, cheaper ($127) and got within 2 days. Fitted now, so time will tell if good deal.
Just had a look, it is a completely sealed unit. If it is built correctly why should you have to go fiddling with an adjustment screw. Waiting to pickup my new Android phone I ordered before xmas (get from PO tomorrow) then load the App so I can check it out.

The ecu is looking for the exact same signal but, the difference in mass produced is not that different from the next or they would have a nightmare tuning engines
ECU's all have the same program loaded unless it's been reflashed of course
The Munji unit is well designed and looks fully integrated and looks as if its part of the factory loom when fitted . The engine definitely idles smoother but no real performance improvement or changes to fuel economy.
