    Safari Snorkel SS41HF Info

Im looking at getting a Safari SS41HF installed and want to know if there are any issues with this model. Its a brand new snorkel however I have read some stories about rattling and very loud induction noise, which I would not mind

Please let me know your experiences and if the SS41HF is a good quality snorkel.

    Thanks

No problems. Silent with the window up and a slight turbo whistle with it down, barely noticeable. It was droning bad (like a tractor) with the window down with Ryco filter but since I threw that rubbish out and went genuine it is silent.

We have the same model also, and have had no problems with it. The install is a bit more complex than older models that I have installed snorkels to, but that is similar for most newer vehicles these days.

          Thanks Alben,

Have made the purchase and hope to get it installed by a 4x4 shop, don't trust myself cutting the pristine panel.

            SARAFI SNORKEL INSTALLED !!!

Very tidy installation job done by a local shop. The suction noise is only noticable under hard acceleration and for some reason it feels like the power has increased. I have also noticed it is slightly louder at idle

Hi Soniq, I purchased the Safari Snorkel brand new found on gumtree for $440 inc postage and cost $300 for installation by a 4x4 accessory shop so $740 total

I could have purchased the TJM snorkel for the same price fitted around the $700-750.

That's a reasonable fitting charge considering the amount of effort it takes to fit one of these kits.

i'd say you have done well with that one.

I thought so, ARB was quoting $1200+ for the safari snorkel and install which was a little expensive for my liking
