Unable to start after reconnecting the battery

I had an accessory plug in the rear come loose and spark, so I disconnected the battery.

I have now reconnected and am unable to start the vehicle.

The only light that comes on at the dash is the door open light.

    Any ideas where to start?

    Sorted.
Just learnt a valuable lesson in regards to diesels and batteries.

Terminal post cleaned, lead cleaned and done up nice and tight (was not overly tight when I took it off).

What is good to use to prevent oxidation of the battery terminals?

      Vaseline or grease.
