Loose climate control panel after new stereo head unit install

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has pulled out the climate control panel & knows what holds it in place as I had a new head unit installed for our stereo & since then there is a lot of play in the climate control panel.
Are there some screws that hold it in place I can tighten or does it rely on the MM stereo to hold it more steadily in place & therefore will just be a bit looser from now on??

    Appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks,
    Sam

      Thanks Tangles.
Looks like there might be a couple of clips on the bottom edge of the fascia for the stereo trim that hold the climate control in place.
I thing these are lacking when you change out the MM stereo. This would explain why things are looser then.

Has anyone else found this when upgrading head units & if so was there a fix??

      Cheers,
      Sam

Found the exact same thing with mine, the top left corner is a little out. I've put it down to the aftermarket facia not fitting 100%

Apart from possible issues with aftermarket fascia do you have all the white clips on for the climate control panel? If any of these are missing it won't be as secure as it was.

            Thanks for the input.

Axis- where are the white clips located so that I can check if they're all there please?
The head unit is out at the moment getting repairs, but I can't see any white clips??

              Hi Sam,

On the back of all the vents, fascia, climate control panel there are locating tabs that go into the dash surround. To clip in securely these have a white clip that attaches to the tab. These often pop off when the parts are removed and can end up lost. Without these parts won't clip in securely to the dash.

This is what they look like

              Cheers,
              James

                James, you're a champ!

Will look into this & if missing will source some more before head unit goes back in.

                Cheers,

All mine are there, I just think the facia isn't as good as the factory one.
