Hi,
Yesterday I put in a query to Amayama on their website for some service parts (filters etc.) for my '14 NW. I listed the parts I required (no part no's) as per the VIN number described in my "vehicle profile". This is the reply I received today:
"Unfortunately, the specified VIN is classified as an Export market version of your vehicle or for a vehicle that was not built in Japan.
Unfortunately we are unable to supply parts for these models as stocks of the parts are not kept in Japan.
These parts will need to be sourced from your local Mitsubishi Dealer/Parts Centre.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
I find it hard to believe they wouldn't have the parts. Did I make a mistake by quoting my VIN number? Maybe I should have just quoted individual part numbers?
Anyone had this issue? I have got stuff off them before for a Mazda car but I think I did quote part numbers.
Mick
