Don't know about the Triton, but with the Pajero it doesn't matter - the user has to do the programming.

Pretty sure that it doesn't matter. You will have to programme the atf yourself. Everything else will be simple.

I just went through this myself and was a little unsure.

I found the following from the Gauge Availability Estimator:

(FYI, the Triton is also 11-bit)

Then found this in the FAQ:
"If your vehicle uses 11-bit CAN choose the Tacoma option"

So ordered with the "Toyota Tacoma/Tundra CAN" option, but as mentioned above, sounds like we'll have to program the Paj/Triton specific codes ourselves.

Any reason you guys preferred the Ultragauge MX 1.3 over other scan tools?

Looking to put one in a 2015 MN Triton.

The ultragauge has a great screen display and is relatively simple to use. Alarms are programmable. Huge assortment of info can be accessed. Can display 4, 6 or 8 gauge readouts at once. Unlike some other units the MX 1.3 allows you to monitor your auto trans temp...big bonus when towing (or even highway driving to see when torque converter is locked in).

I use mine as my speedo as it is 100% accurate whereas the NW speedo is out about 6kph at 100kph...

Howdy. Does anyone have a screen shot of the program Page for the automatic fluid temp on their ultra gauge. I'm not too sure if I have done my one correctly
