Has anyone had problems with these units not receiving GPS signals? My unit will only receive a signal from one satellite when i check the GPS monitor function and NAV wont work because it doesnt have enough signal to navigate.

      Cheers.

Yes I've had two of the Dig Options units in my NP since 2010.
The first one kept spitting the DVD laser reader, Matt repaired it under warranty but 6 months later died again.
I just played music via memory stick instead of a music DVD.
I replaced the first unit with a later model version about 3 years ago - much better with more features.
No issues with Ozi and have added a heap of Vicmaps into the memory plus all the HEMA stuff.
Use the SD slot for music.
        Bluetooth works fine.
No issues with GPS reception up in the High Country.
Only gripe is the +/- button for volume should be a round volume knob for all these units.
System seems stable for me although on some very cold mornings you have to hit the power button to start it up.
I have found Matt to be very helpful over the years.
A mate also had one in his Triton (which I installed Ozi and all my maps onto) and he didn't have any real issues (traded the vehicle recently).

PS - Matt are there any recent on road mapping software updates and how can users access these ? I have the 2013 update.

        Cheers, Frank.

Hi, is this unit from us? Can you please email our support as it could be faulty gps antenna, incorrect nav settings. Did it ever work? any more info can help.

Unfortunately this unit wasn't purchased from you, ebay one, I seem to know more about the unit than the people who supplied it unfortunately

Usually the case when buying from china direct unfortunately. It could be the navigation BAUD RATE / PORT settings (you need to get these from the supplier), it could be the position of the GPS antenna, ensure it's above the dash, it could be a faulty gps antenna (get a replacement), it could be connection to the back of the stereo from antenna (dry joint), could be faulty gps receiver etc.

                  I'm sorry many many possibilities.

                    volume

                    Hi,
We have just bought a second hand Paj NT with the DIG OPTIONS unit. Tuned on the radio first time and it worked fine but now we can't turn down the volume and it is at mega decibles!! The screen display tells us the volume is going down but...it doesn't! Will this be a visit to a sat nav/radio specialist or is there something we don't know. We can't find any manual for it online.
                    Cheers

There is a "Master" volume in the Navigation preferences. It is probably turned to maximum. You need to fiddle with it to get an acceptable volume for the Navigation Voice. Once you get that right, then, from memory, the volume knob should work OK in the radio and music sections.

The unit actually integrates with the Pajero sound system, so you should also be able to control the volume from the steering wheel buttons.
I can not remember if the Pajero in dash system has settings for volume I will look later today.
                        Cheers

push the right button until "AMP" comes up on the screen turn the knob and set it to "I" not "E" that should solve your problem

Did you solve your problem. If so can you please help me as "DIG Options" don't seem to be able to. I purchased a new unit from them last week and this problem is killing me.

                                Hi Noddy,

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have tried all of the various settings, and there are several different ways to get to them but nothing works. I found the "master" controls which allow control of the volume a little bit, but the volume control still has no action.

The cables that came with the unit have a black box attached that states that it is for the "Outlander" I have a "Challenger". I have asked Dig Options if this could probably be the cause but have not had an answer yet.

It is dissapointing as I only received the unit on Thursday 22nd June and it has been like this from initial switch on. I have tried a total reset and everything else that I can do but the volume is always full bore. The screen indicates that the volume is working but that is all.

If you can think of anything else that I might try I would be very grateful.
