ABS Pump Solenoid Valves

I'm getting an ABS error code 43-44 which seems to be the RL & RR solenoid valves.
I've metered them out and they're a touch over the specified resistance limit.


Anyone else had this issue? Seems like it might be a pump rebuild unless anyone has any suggestions

So I have replaced the entire HBB and the fault still remains.

I bought an Autel scanner and that reads the codes no problem, the 43 & 44 still remain despite having a new HBB which has known good solenoids on it.

I'm thinking it might be the ECU as the fault keeps returning and the tests of the solenoids through the diagnostic scanner only works for one then it locks up. A reset of the ignition allows another test so I'm guessing the ECU is screwed.

Any thoughts?

Try using a MUT3 and doing the solenoid tests.

From memory there are two you do.
Goos time to replace the brake fluid too.

The Autel will do the tests. I get one click and then a comms error which is what makes me think it’s the ECU.

Replaced the ECU. Problem solved.

No ABS warning light and brakes working correctly.
