Test drove an Aspire diesel a week ago and like it. Wanted an LS so was able to get dealer driveaway with towbar and floormats was $38,500.Comment

LS Outlander first 5 days
Fuel usage is settling in (<-that's me getting used to it!).
Flat run on 80kmh roads got 5.5-6l/100km
Highway few hills 110km/h got 6.6-7.0l/100km
Round town varies 7.7-10+l/100km
Not towed anything yet.
Nor any "testing"

Reason I asked this in above post is I read Subaru have gone to CVT and reviewers have mentioned lag. Maybe not gear change related cos there are none but maybe the timing of computer to match engine power to CVT. Outlander diesel LS automatic
Is a 6 speed conventional auto box with the addition of steering wheel paddle shifters which work well.
Shifting is quick, smooth, with no lag.Comment

Fuel consumption: you can get 6L/100
On a run to Canberra airport from Belconnen then to Deakin my Outlander used 5.9L/100km. Gentle on the gas, driven smoothly, etc.Attached FilesComment
