    Front diff E locker quote

I am considering a front elocker for my PC and enquired at my local 4wd store as to price. Quoted $3k with my current diff (28000kms) traded in. Must admit I was somewhat surprised. Has anyone had one fitted? What was the price? Has it been worth it?

    Thank you

$1728 RRP for a E-Locker 28 spline 8" to suit a Challenger Triton or Pajero.( 4wd store will get it much cheaper and this is where they should make most of their profit)
$100 1 hours labour to remove.
$300 2 hours labour for a diff specialist to change over diff centre and setup backlash correctly.
$100 1 hours labour to refit.
$75 local couriers and diff oil.
$120 1 hour auto electrician to wire up.

$2423 Total, would be a good price
    $2600 a fair price.
$3000 is a high price unless I have overlooked a cost.

8" front diffs 3.917 ratios are as common as anything so you would be lucky to get more than $50 if you tried to sell it to a Wreaker who will on sell it for $250, $150 to $200 on Gumtree if you are lucky.

I got a quote last year from Good Spanner that was $2200 fully fitted for the front harrop elocker. So OJ's numbers are pretty spot on..

I paid $1000 for install. And i wired it myself.

Ive wired it so it can only be used while the rear locker is engaged. For saftey reasons.

yeah $2200 to $2500 seems to be a reasonable price, $3k was way too high, glad you voted with your feet.
