Heater fan & other electrical issues help!!!

    Gday all,

I have purchased a 95 NJ Pajero and it has some electrical issues that i hope someone can help me with:

Heater fan - Intermittant,,now not working, fuses ok, relay clicks..

Elec Antenna - Will not go up or down,,,fuses ok

Is there any solenoids or sensor or something that stops these working.

    Thanks

    Tim

resistor block ? you can test the fan, offer it 12V Straight in !

even the full speed goes via the resistor block, its in the fan for cooling, and can corrode up .

Has it had an aftermarket head unit fitted? they may not have wired in the signal wire.

i will have a look at the hayes book shortly,

elec ant, hayes suggest a white wire with black trace,

That would go the the blue amp/ant wire on most new head units.

i removed the fan motor and resistor,,,connected 12v power and the fan motor worked fine...i reconnected the wiring with resistor block and then heard what sounded like a relay click and the fan now works fine in all settings....definate gremlin !!!!!!!

My have dismantled the antenna to remove the broken retractor assembly which was snapped off...i have found the cable broken and rejoined badly...it worth getting another antenna or just fit a std unit and dont worry about elect ??????

          Thanks

Upto you Tim, elec is good for when you hit the tracks so you can just turn the radio off and antenna goes down so you don't bend and break it like i did to mine hahaha.....It was the radio stations fault though, there was some good tunes playing on the station that day wich is rare and i simply forgot

Check a wrecker... or BOSS on the board for a replacement aerial.

If all else fails I have a Holden Commodore electric aerial that might be able to be retrofitted if you're stuck - $150 with shipping.

Could be just low on gas ............. briefly bridge pressure switch will answer that Also over heat switch gives probs also .. again bridge to rule out as a prob.
