    Some closed areas in Cooloola.
    Dates state 11-14 so should be ok by the weekend.
    Doesn't really affect the plans - only the short drive out to Harry's Hut for a look.

      Hi all returned from Fraser today, weather was still really bad blowing south easterly something shocking so we didn't go down DI to home so i guess we will have to wait for the condition report.

        look like at this stage Harry Hut is out i will check with DERM on friday if its ago. At this stage i looks like the Cooloola way and western firebreak/Kings Bore as planned.

              Wayne Im not going to make it this weekend.

              I am looking at mid Nov to go visit the area, hopefully the weather will be alot better.

              Where do you stay on Fraser Is???

                That's not so bad. At least we'll get a bit of a drive through Cooloola way and the fire break out to Teewah beach.

                  Sounds like you guys will have fun... i just hope we dont have another downpour like last weekend, on friday, (like is predicted) and you guys can still find plenty of traction up the western firebreak! from reading that, it sounds like there are some serious step's on the eastern one....

                    If you are taking kids to Fraser the best option is the fenced camp grounds CentralStation, Dundaburra and Waddy point.

                      closed until further notice:

                      Kinaba Information Centre
                      Fig Tree camping and day-use area
                      Harrys camping and day-use area
                      Harry's Hut access road
                      Upper Noosa River campsites 1 - 15
                      Cooloola Wilderness Trail (including Neebs and Wandi waterhole camping areas)
                      Cooloola Great Walk - from Southern Trail Head to Kauri walkers' camp (including Brahminy, Dutgee, Litoria and Kauri walkers' campsites
                      All other walking tracks adjacent to the upper Noosa River and Kin Kin Creek (including the Boronia Trail and walking tracks to the Cooloola Sandpatch).
                      Due to severe erosion, the eastern firebreak is closed until further notice. Use the western firebreak as an alternative route.

                        Seems there is a weather god out there after all. Just got up and the rain has gone and the blue sky is a plenty. It should be a great weekend now.

                              The pic in the water, im guessing that was on the Cooloola way? If it dries out this week, that track will be a bugger....

                              What was the Western Firebreak like to kingsbore?

                              Looks like there was plenty of beach on the rainbow side of double island point...

                              I cant wait to get up there this weekend... Unfortunately, only as a day trip

                              so if anyone wants to, its likely that we will be meeting in rainbow about 9:30-10am,
                              It looks like 2 pajero's and a patrol at this stage. Low tide is 1402, so its good for an afternoon of beach fun!

                                We didn't go up to Rainbow but there is not a lot of sand on the DI end. The puddle is the Cooloola Way that was the hardest part, the road itself was dry and in really good condition. The western fire break is a very easy drive air down and watch out for the dirt bikes coming up Kings bore road (they must be exempt from the no entry sign).
