Broken Hill Van park recommendations

Gday,
Heading out Broken Hill way in a few weeks with the van in tow.

Any recommendations of a Van Park around Broken Hill ?

Have a night planned in Mutawintji national Park prior and three nights out at Eldee Station Silverton but want to do 2 nights in or close to Broken Hill to check out the joint.

Any recommendations appreciated.

Mulberry vale is the place for you my friend. I'd steer clear of the caravan park in BH.

Yes I saw you replay and Thank You for that most informative.

Never been out that way before and just seeing what options there are around BH.

Just had a look at the Mulberry Vale site and doesn't mention they take vans ?

TBH, I've never looked at their website. But they definitely have an RV parking area, and acres of space so they may even let you camp somewhere in the paddock for some privacy, can always ask. It's a great property, and they are lovely people, I suggest giving them a call to discuss your options.

Stay clear of the Lake View Park

We spent 3 nights at The Broken Hill Tourist Park in Rakow st last month. Clean facilities, good drive through sites with shade and new park owners who are very pleasant to deal with. We'd go back there again, no problems.
More info on Wiki Camps, which is the best app for parks and free camp spots.

We did the mine tour at the info centre as well and I can highly recommend it.

Neither of the 2 caravan parks are anything to write home about, but lake view is very run down apparently. Tommy might know more
The bh tourist park is at the other 'rough' end of town but in slightly better shape. Check out the reviews for both on Google before you book.... but definitely don't book anything until you've spoken to Mulberry Vale!
You'll thank me later, after you have driven through both caravan parks to check them out, and then stayed at MV. :-)

Have emailed Mulberry Vale and awaitng a response as it looks better than lakeside where I have made a booking for an ensuite site.....

Lots of dogs on the loose
Second time was 2 months ago,we were told it would cost $65/p&w, if we kept the PAj. Connected to the 22ft caravan.we were only staying for the night and it was late when we arrived.$35 if unhooked.
Sites are not level,and mostly sandy mud when wet.
Not much room between vans.

Stay in the other one in town that's got the Motel

Been to the other one twice as well now. Won't be going back to the Lakeview one.
