He'll hate them even more when one gets broken. My parts guy has them (genuine) at list price of $600 each, plus GST, and that's way cheaper than through a dealer.

Not too bad. Someone on the forum told me that a new mercedes headlight had a $5000 tag!!!!! Cracked a rear light on the Paj....brand new complete assembly $130...not genuine but stuffed if I can tell the difference...came complete with wiring and globes as well.

Yep, $4611.59 plus GST for the new S Class.

The Paj Sport ones look positively cheap by comparison

            Pfft, That's nothing,
When the Lexus LS600hL was first released, the RRP on the Triple Projector headlight was just under AU $11,000.
I had to price up a "basket of parts" for collision damage statistics on all new cars or work and an "average" front end collision for one of them was over $58,000 Just in parts... for a MINOR collision, The comparable parts price on a Falcadore / Magna / Camry etc at the time was around $3,500

Only thing is that the rich who bought the Lexus wouldnt give a fig about the costs...

When it reflected in how much it costs to insure them - they take notice

Those lights look as if they are leaking - and leaking money from your pocket when you break one.
