Warning re: PayPal & recieving payments.

Hi all, just pointing out the obvious..

Please be aware scammers do exist. Admin are quick to remove if we see any dodgy thread or posts..

However after you purchase all is via email or PMs & how you arrange to collect/Pay is your responsibility..

Never log into Paypal from a third party email & never click on a link either!

If you are unsure log into your own PayPal A/C & report:

[email protected]

We have been made aware of 1 such email sent to a member & will be following it up closely!

Even though for most of us it is quite obvious, there is unfortunately a few that don't see the warning signs and get stung

My advice is, if paying via PayPal read their terms and conditions on what you're covered for and never select "gift" to send money unless you know the person well or you trust them. You should always select "payment for goods" as this way ensures the other party needs to send via secure means like registered or signed for post.

Hi all I'm happy to report to all Admin have resolved the issue with positive result.

What we discovered:

1/error with the email address: issue .au was added onto Bigpond.com so PayPal didn't recognise the address.

2/ Member in US just joined PayPal & after receiving payment copied & pasted the PayPal notification to his email & fwd it to the other member.
Due to this PayPal AU claimed it was fraudulent!

Long story short please check your email addresses & always log into your own PayPal A/C.

Always follow up with PayPal & check the email information they have is correct.

Also happy to say both members understand & realise how easy things can blow up & thank them both for keeping it of the forum.

Remember people worldwide are getting very rich daily from those with poor judgement.
