    Heating

Hi. My 1998 Pajero has the 4g64 petrol engine. It tends to overheat, blow bubbles in the reservoir and heater air is quite cool. If I turn on heat it seems to correct overheating. As I live in Antigua, I don’t really want to run heat! . I flushed it but don’t know the procedures to refill properly. Any suggestions?

I pick you have a blown head gasket..... the heater adds a bit of cooling capability and helps the over heat issue - you may be lucky and have a stuck thermostat but I have seen more blown head gaskets than stuck thermostats
