    Repco Sheepskin Seat Covers

Anyone had experience with these or similar seat covers from Repco? https://www.repco.com.au/en/seat-cov...ack/p/A5394439

Got them advertised at 50% off for the next couple days, thought I might pick up a pair if they're reasonable.

Love my sheepskin covers - cool in summer, warm in winter. The first accessory on any car I buy - even with leather seats.
My latest are from Supercheap, but I think they are all much the same. They never show signs of wear, and they keep the seats in good condition for when you want to sell.

Purchased those about 3 months ago a discount price also.
Very comfortable and not too hard to fit.
No idea how long they will last but the look good.

I recently purchased a set of sheep skin covers from SCA - sewn pieces. Comfortable and probably durable enough for my purposes, but they won't be a patch on the ones I previously had on my old Maverick that were still serviceable at 20+ years old. The key being they were the full hide. Brought from a specialist sheep skin products supplier prior to the bum falling out of the wool industry. Remember the range of sheep skin products that used to be available, throw overs, mats, sleeping mats for babies etc etc. I couldn't even find a supplier when I looked. No doubt available if you're willing to shell out 4 figures.

Ok, so picked up a set last night and got them fitted. Was a little tricky figuring out where all the straps needed to go (but I can't imagine that's different from any other set of covers).

Was fairly painless to get fitted, and there's enough strapping to get them as snug as you want. Fits about as well as I could expect any to that aren't custom tailored. Probably took me no more than an hour to do both seats.

They seem comfy enough, but I won't know for sure until I do some proper driving.

Here's a couple pics, hopefully you can see them!

We bought those exact ones about 8 months ago for the mrs run about and been very happy with them, the last cheap set we bought from supercrap started falling apart with fibers everywhere after only a couple of months but these ones have been perfect since day one without a sign of coming apart. I love the extra pockets in the front but just wished that they had the same sheepskin front and back instead of the back being (seemingly) lower quality and what looks to me to be slightly different color.

BTW in your photo it looks like the headrest is around the wrong way with the plush high quality sheepskin at the back and the crappy part at the front but if that's how you like it disregard my comment lol.

Look great, but I was wondering if they are side airbag compatible?

So yeah, they've been pretty good so far, no issues or complaints.

Re: the headrests, that's a good spot I didn't even notice, but I put them on that way since that's the direction the velcro straps were sewn on, possibly a mess up during manufacture? Not a big deal to turn them around and just a bit of finageling to get the velcro back together though.

These are definitely airbag compatible (wouldn't have bought them otherwise!), you can just spot the little tag on the inside of the pass. seat.

Is this 50% off deal region specific? When I click on it I can't see the discount.

That link was posted back in November. So the deal has probably long finished
                          Cheers, Hatto

Hi, yeah it was only going to be on sale for 2 days back when I posted that, but I've already seen them for sale again at a similar price sometime since then, so just wait and I'm sure it'll come up again, maybe in the after xmas sales.

Not sure about the Repco sheepskins, but if you are buying some, go for the thickest skin you can get. For years we had white sheepskins on our cars (look good when they are clean) hut they were buggers to keep looking good. More importantly, they were relatively thin fleeces.

When I bought our current fleet, both cars have black cloth upholstery as standard. We decided that we wanted new sheepskins, but not black or white. I found some grey ones on Fleabay and they claimed to be 30 (or 35??) mm thick fleece. I bought them and they are awesome. We will never go back to a thinner fleece cover again. The colour is also good 0 it doesn't show the dirt and fits in well with the rest of the cars. Of course they were a lot more expensive than the Repco or other cheap fleeces, but to my mind they are worth it.
