Default EGR resistor mod

10k resistor in series with blue/black wire.
EGR does not open, no error codes
Run a bridge wire to a switch and you can bridge out the resistor and back to normal EGR functionality

I did this a long time ago to my 17 with DPF, best 55c I've spent on the car so far. I noticed no performance increase to speak of but the fuel savings and the oil cleanliness were surprising. It really demonstrated how aggressive the EGR is on this car.

Nothing less than a 10k resistor will turn it 100% off.

Does any one know which pin on the plug this lines up with? I'll increase the resistance to 10k on my SPVi so I can still remove for factory service stuff.

thanks in advance
Mark

Default Jaycar OBD-II Engine Code Reader

I have installed a Munji plug in 4.7 resistor and a Provent catch can. I also have - but not installed, a Jaycar OBD-II 'RESPONSE' brand blue tooth engine code reader. To interface through Torque Pro app on an Android tablet.
Has anyone on the forum used, or had problems with the Jaycar product ?

I have not read the entire thread so don't know if this answers your question.
