Mate you could probably negotiate a brand new one for close to that.
I snagged a new my17 GLX for 43k. Find one that's been sitting on the lot for months and they'll be motivated to get rid of it if they think you're a serious buyer and not kicking tyres.

Depends what your looking for. Is it a Soccer Mums Car, tow rig, genuine off raoder? Car sales has stock 2015 GLS NX diesels for $41,000 with low Kms. But will leave you no money for mods like heavier suspension for towing or a Bull bar for country travel. Suspension approx $2K, Bar approx $2K fitted. Leaving $38,000 for a towing car. Again car sales has a 2014 exceed NW for $38K with 100,000km on it. Good luck with the purchase, I'm in the market for something similar as my NS is giving me grief after 335,000km.

Your only choice is diesel. Petrol Pajero's ended years ago, regrettably.

And the sub-models went up from GLX, GLX-R, GLS, VR-X to Exceed at the top end.

I think I got that right.

NW or early NX I reckon is the best bet. No DPF and rust in doors issues rectified. 42k should get you a well kitted out one with low km if you are lucky enough to find one. Or a stock one with change to do some mods if that's what you want.
              Cheers, Hatto
